Marlon Villarreyna on Speaking Tour in NorthamptonshireThe Northants Miraflor Association is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the Northamptonshire Community Foundation to promote links between Northants and the Miraflor region of Nicaragua. The grant will enable us to bring Marlon Villarreyna to Northampton. Marlon is a 30 year old organic and fair trade coffee farmer from Sontule in Miraflor. A very charismatic speaker, Marlon is also the president of his local coffee co-operative and has a deep understanding of the development and trade issues which affect small farmers in Nicaragua. Marlon will be in Northampton from 5th - 30th March (coinciding with fair trade fortnight), and will be available to talk to primary and secondary school classes, church groups, and other interested organisations.
